In true review fashion, I was able to test two pairs of goggles for a total of 28 off-road race hours in virtually all conditions. From mud, dust, bright sun and pitch dark- these goggles (and myself) suffered through several 6 hour long races. My favorite aspect of FMF’s Powerbomb Goggles is the versatility in fitment from helmet to helmet. Typically one rider only needs one helmet, but during endurance races it’s challenging to use one helmet the entire event. Sometimes the amount of mud or dust can make you switch over time, but an important factor is racing into the night and visibility changes require a helmet light setup. Doing this in a relatively quick fashion means switching helmets on the spot in pit row. Having confidence in your goggles is important and knowing that your frame will fit fine from one helmet to the next without adjustment is worth it’s weight in gold.
