I suppose the thought of having a pack or bag mounted somewhere on my dirt bike had never really crossed my mind due to the lack of single track or true off road riding growing up. I was always at the motocross track and even if I actually was trail riding- I never was too far from the truck. Since then I've developed more of a taste for riding remote areas and acquiring new skills that you need in relatively difficult single track situations. Having a hydration pack came natural in these scenarios so I still never really thought of needing storage on my bike.

It wasn't until I finally got fed up of missing the action every time I wanted to take a picture on my phone. Unstrapping my pack and and digging around always seemed to take too long and the opportunity was missed. Thinking about solutions I decided to give Giant Loop a try and mount the smallest bag available- their Giant Loop Zigzag Handlebar bag. I figured my phone could likely fit and I could finally catch my buddies still on the ground after crashing for a photo op.

This handlebar bag is really pretty amazing. From the get go, it was easy to mount and the quality is unrivaled. Just has a "heavy duty, I'm here for a long time" feel to the material and design. The zipper has a tag on it that is easy to pull with one hand and you can keep your gloves on.

Little did I know how much room is actually available. This thing can fit a surprising amount of stuff, so not only a large smart phone- but maybe a protein bar, spare gloves- wallet/insurance registration if you dual sporting.

The straps cinch down nicely and prevent the content from making the bag bounce around when you are riding. It isn't noticeable at all when riding and totally changes the experience. If I had to suggest one upgrade for off road, dual sport, ADV riding it would 100% be the Giant Loop Zigzag Handlebar bag.
